Suzhou Stele Museum

Views:

Jiangsu · Suzhou Gusu District

The Suzhou Stele Museum is located within the Confucian Temple of the Suzhou Municipal Government in Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. It is a specialized museum dedicated to the collection, research, exhibition, and reproduction of ancient steles. With the Minglun Hall as the central visual focal point, the design emphasizes the roof eaves, roof tiles, and decorative plaques. Moving southward from the north, the Qingfeng Hall and Shuangshi Pavilion are highlighted with primary structural lighting. The stone corridors on either side feature decorative lighting along the outer sides of the columns. The stone lawn lights in the eastern temple area are uniformly low-level, replacing and adjusting the original light positions to achieve a rhythmic interplay of light and shadow; this restores the simple and elegant atmosphere of the ancient garden's spatial layers.
